Phinda 2025

Drive 8

We had our 8th Phinda game drive and our final drive from Zuka Lodge on the morning of 3 February with Busani and Musa.

Lioness With Cub

We saw a lioness with a very young cub. We couldn’t stay long and other rangers were told to avoid the area so as not to disturb the cub.

Dung Beetle

After the game drive we were at Zuka Lodge waiting for our transfer to Forest Lodge. We spotted something moving in the grass towards the lodge. It was a dung beetle. We had previously seen dung beetles land on elephant poo and roll a poo ball and roll it away. This time we were treated to the next installment where the beetle finds a suitable place to bury the ball.
