Phill & Steve
Drive 5
We had our fifth Phinda game drive from Zuka Lodge on the afternoon of 17 February with Jenna and Musa.
Rhino
There are two types of rhino, the black rhino and the white rhino. The colours in their names are misleading as they are similar colour. It is believed that the white rhino is named after the Afrikaans for 'wide' as they have wide mouths. Black rhinos are probably named to distinguish them from white rhinos.
Black rhino are solitary and rare sightings. They are browsers (leaf eaters) and have a rounded snout. They are smaller than white rhino.
White rhino are often in groups. They are grazers (eat grass) and have a wide mouth.
